On the occasion of the Second China-Uzbekistan Education and Innovation Forum, the signing ceremony for UIMA was held under the witness of ministers from both countries.
[TASHKENT, Nov 2, 2025] – At the recently held China-Uzbekistan Second Education and Innovation Forum, the Uzbekistan National Innovation Model Accelerator (UIMA), a key outcome of the inaugural China-Uzbekistan Innovation Leaders Forum, was invited as a benchmark project of Sino-Uzbekistani innovation cooperation and held a significant signing ceremony. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China, and Mr. Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, marking new important progress in cooperation in innovative education and technology transfer between the two nations.
Under the theme 'Innovation Leads, Education Builds the Foundation,' the forum brought together numerous experts, scholars, and business leaders from the education, scientific, technological, and industrial sectors of both countries. As a key segment of the forum, the UIMA operation team and its Chinese partners signed an agreement to deepen cooperation, witnessed by the ministers and attending guests.
Following the signing ceremony, Mr. Michael Wang, Founder of UIMA and Chairman of ArkInno Hub (Shenzhen) Industrial Operation Co., Ltd., took the stage for a group photo with the two Ministers of Education. This significant moment symbolizes the close cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the field of innovative education and highlights UIMA's important role as a bridge connecting the innovation ecosystems of both countries.
As a national-level innovation platform directly under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, UIMA has successfully established a 'Government-Industry-Academia-Research-Finance' integrated innovation ecosystem since its launch. Focusing on green energy, clean technology, and the circular economy, the platform has built a complete industry-academia-research transformation system, providing full-cycle services from policy liaison and market access to technology adaptation and funding connections for international innovators, including Chinese enterprises.
The signing witnessed by the Ministers of Education of both countries will further expand UIMA's collaboration network and deepen its footprint in the following areas:
1. Innovative Education Cooperation: Promoting in-depth collaboration between Chinese and Uzbek universities in curriculum development, faculty exchange, and joint laboratory establishment.
2. Technology Transfer Acceleration: Establishing more efficient mechanisms for the industrialization of technological achievements.
3. Joint Talent Cultivation: Creating an exchange platform for young innovative talents from both countries, fostering innovation leaders with international perspectives.
4. Industrial Innovation Upgrade: Focusing on green innovation sectors and facilitating the implementation of major innovation projects.
This signing signifies UIMA's official transition from the platform construction phase to the deep operation phase, which will further enhance the level of cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in innovative education and technology transfer, injecting new momentum into the building of a China-Uzbekistan innovation community.
