Innovation Model Accelerator
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Uzbekistan's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, the National Technology Transfer Office, and ArkInno Hub are collaborating to explore the development of an innovative public service platform, leveraging innovation as the key driver to address crucial aspects of national economic reform.
Pioneering in Central Asia, we have facilitated the establishment of the Uzbekistan National Innovation Demonstration Accelerator (UIMA) at the national level. UIMA is designed to serve as a central hub connecting the country with the global innovation ecosystem. By creating a sovereign-backed "innovation sandbox," it systematically promotes the localization, commercialization, and industrialization of both domestic and international innovations within Uzbekistan. Its core objectives are to overcome traditional institutional and resource constraints, cultivate world-class innovation clusters in the future, significantly increase the contribution of high-tech industries to GDP, create hundreds of thousands of high-quality jobs, and support the nation's transition from a resource-export-based economy to an innovation-driven economic structure, ultimately establishing a internationally competitive and sustainable development model.
ArkInno Hub's UIMA provides comprehensive, end-to-end innovation support through three core components: First, the National Innovation Concourse serves as a platform for policy releases, resource showcasing, and matchmaking, organizing international summits, innovation competitions, and talent training programs, and regularly publishing the "Uzbekistan Innovation Ecosystem White Paper." Second, the Innovation Acceleration Workshop focuses on key areas including digital infrastructure, industry-education integration, green mining, new energy, import-substitution consumer industries, and deep processing of specialty agricultural products. It integrates superior innovation resources globally, fosters industry-education collaboration, and conducts concept validation, pilot testing, and scenario testing, driving projects from individual pilots to industrialization and further to the upgrading of entire upstream and downstream industrial chains. Third, the Super Innovation Service Center offers integrated online and offline one-stop services, providing enterprises with full-lifecycle support encompassing policy consultation, market access, intellectual property protection, investment and financing matchmaking, and localization assistance. Leveraging blockchain technology, digital platforms, and cross-departmental collaboration mechanisms, it builds a transparent, efficient, and trustworthy innovation service ecosystem.
